Southside Community Center’s Virtual Black Town Hall Meeting (Video)

Via Southside Community Center, Inc. on Facebook:
The Southside Community Center’s “Virtual Black Town Hall”, aims to give the Black community in Ithaca (and the rest of the community) an opportunity to hear candidates talk about their aspirations with this position and the relevance to addressing issues, concerns, and conditions experienced by Black people locally/regionally/nationally. At Southside Community Center, we create opportunities to unapologetically name, address and interrupt negative social conditions experienced by Black people. Reflecting on the relationship between our history and our present, our work at the community center aims to uplift, transform, and liberate. We are eager to continue encouraging more and more Black people to engage in the political process on multiple levels, but more importantly, we want everyone to make informed decisions.

The Southside Community Center’s “Virtual Black Town Hall” streamed on Thursday, June 11th from 4-6pm.
