“We'll all have to wait another week or so for all of the absentee ballots to be counted, but I am so proud of this campaign. It has been an honor to run with such a talented field of candidates and I want to congratulate them all for making it through an extraordinarily difficult primary.” – Anna Kelles

From Spectrum News online:

With plenty of absentee ballots left to be counted, Anna Kelles emerged as the favorite in the race for the Democratic nomination in New York's 125th state Assembly district.

Kelles currently has 33 percent of the vote following Tuesday's early and in-person vote count. Seph Murtagh received 20 percent of the vote, Sujata Gibson got 15 percent and Jordan Lesser got 14 percent. Jason Leifer, Beau A.C. Harbin, and Lisa W. Hoeschele all received less than 10 percent.

Kelles had received endorsements from former gubernatorial candidates Zephyr Teachout and Cynthia Nixon.
